The short answer

Before moving your list, test one store event end to end. A purchase or an abandoned checkout should reach the platform with the right customer, trigger the right email and stop the flow when it should. The free Omnisend and Klaviyo plans, with 250 contacts or active profiles and 500 emails a month, are enough for that test.

Begin with the store event

Choose one meaningful event such as a signup, a completed purchase or an abandoned checkout. Confirm that the integration records the right identity, consent and product information. A large integration directory is not proof that your event is mapped correctly.

Use a small trial audience

Omnisend and Klaviyo publish free tiers for up to 250 billable contacts or active profiles and 500 emails/month. Keep the trial within those limits while checking event delivery and suppression. Kit is a creator-focused alternative with a different free subscriber allowance.

Inspect the complete flow

Trigger the event, wait for the message and verify personalization and suppression. Ensure a completed purchase stops an abandoned-checkout flow. Check what happens if the store event is delivered twice or arrives late.

Separate channels and costs

Omnisend states that SMS rates vary by country and volume. Klaviyo lists separate mobile messaging and Composer allowances. Estimate email and mobile activity independently instead of presenting one channel’s allowance as the total marketing budget.

Choose after the trial

Export the audience and suppression data, check team roles and record how the plan counts recipients. Select the platform whose data model and ongoing workflow your team can maintain. Keep a migration and rollback plan before changing the live store integration.
