What Kit does
Kit is email marketing for creators. Its plans cover newsletters, automated welcome and launch sequences, paid newsletters and the sale of digital products. Kit counts only unique, active subscribers, and it lists no sending limits on any plan.
How the plans are counted
Free covers up to 10,000 subscribers for one user. Creator and Pro are priced by subscriber tier. The pricing page opens at 1,000 subscribers, and other list sizes are chosen with a slider, so the prices below apply to the 1,000-subscriber tier only.
When your list passes the tier limit, Kit moves the plan to the next tier automatically. Moving back down after a list clean-up is manual: you email help@kit.com.
What you pay
At 1,000 subscribers, Creator costs USD 39 a month, or USD 390 billed yearly, which the page shows as USD 33 a month and a USD 78 saving (USD 39 × 12 = USD 468). Pro costs USD 79 a month. Yearly Pro is a limited-time offer of USD 593 for the first year, shown as USD 50 a month with USD 66 struck through; after the first year it renews at the standard rate, which the page does not print.
Creator and Pro have a 14-day free trial with no card required, and Kit refunds monthly or annual plans within 30 days of signup. Taxes are not stated.
Limits that change the choice
Free has no visual automations or email sequences, keeps Kit branding and allows one user. Creator adds unlimited visual automations and sequences, branding removal and two users. Pro allows unlimited users. Every plan can sell digital products and paid subscriptions, with a listed fee of 3.5% + 30c per transaction.
What the documentation leaves open
Prices for 500, 5,000 or 10,000 subscribers are only visible after moving the slider, so they are not recorded here. The standard yearly Pro price is missing, and the page shows $ amounts without naming a currency.
When to compare alternatives
MailerLite's Free plan includes automations for up to 250 subscribers, which Kit's Free plan does not, but its Comfort plan caps monthly emails at 10 times the subscriber tier, while Kit lists no sending limits. If store purchases should drive your automations, look at Klaviyo or Omnisend, which build on ecommerce platform data.
Before you buy
Count your unique, active subscribers and decide whether you need automated sequences from day one; if you do, Free will not cover it. Set the slider on the pricing page to your list size to see the Creator and Pro price for that tier, then use the 14-day trial to build one sequence before paying.
