Overview
What MailerSend does
MailerSend provides an email API and SMTP relay, with plans from a free 500-email tier to Professional. Its plan table caps daily API requests as well as monthly emails, and for a busy app the request cap can matter as much as the email allowance.
What you pay
Hobby costs USD 7 a month for 5,000 emails, and Starter USD 35 and Professional USD 110 for 50,000 emails at the volume shown. Yearly billing takes 10% off: USD 75.60 a year for Hobby, USD 378 for Starter and USD 1,188 for Professional. Free covers 500 emails a month but asks for a credit card to prevent abuse. A 14-day trial of Professional features falls back to the Free plan without charging you.
Sending continues past the monthly quota. Extra emails cost USD 1.50 per 1,000 on Hobby and USD 1.30 on Starter and Professional, and the count resets every 30 days. At 60,000 emails a month, Starter costs USD 35 + 10 × USD 1.30 = USD 48.
Limits that change the choice
Daily API requests are capped at 100 on Free, 1,000 on Hobby, 100,000 on Starter and 500,000 on Professional. Free and Hobby allow one sending domain and one webhook; Starter allows 10 domains and 50 webhooks; Professional lists both as unlimited under a plan-limits policy.
Searchable activity is kept for 1 day on Free and Hobby, 7 days on Starter and 30 days on Professional, which also keeps API logs for 7 days. Longer activity history, up to 365 days, is an add-on from USD 5.
Support and dedicated IPs
Free gets limited support, Hobby email support, Starter email and live chat, and Professional priority email, live chat and onboarding help. Dedicated IPs are only for Enterprise accounts sending more than 100,000 emails a week, and the page gives no price for them.
What the documentation leaves open
Taxes may apply but are not stated, and Enterprise pricing is not published. Another part of the pricing page still lists older figures, USD 67.20 a year for Hobby and USD 0.90 per 1,000 extra emails on Starter and Professional, so confirm the price at checkout.
When to compare alternatives
Resend Pro includes 50,000 emails for USD 20 a month and keeps 30 days of data on every plan, against 7 days on MailerSend Starter. Mailgun Foundation also covers 50,000 emails for USD 35, with 1,000 sending domains but 5 days of logs.
Before you buy
Estimate peak API calls per day as well as emails per month, because a Hobby account stops at 1,000 requests a day. Decide how many days of activity your team needs to investigate a problem, then compare Starter plus the retention add-on with Professional. Use the 14-day trial to test webhooks and domains.
