Overview
What Nexcess managed WordPress is
The former Nexcess WordPress page now leads to Liquid Web's managed WordPress page, and Liquid Web says this hosting is sold exclusively through its sibling brand Nexcess. Plans are chosen by number of sites (1, 3, 5, 10 or 25) and monthly visits per site (50,000, 150,000 or 400,000), then by tier: Essentials, Pro or Elite. Every plan includes DDoS protection, a web application firewall and a Cloudflare edge CDN.
What you pay
In the default view (1 site, up to 50,000 visits, Monthly selected), Essentials costs $9 a month, Pro $19 and Elite $29. The cards show "$" without a currency code, and taxes are not stated. Annual billing is offered and marked "Save 10%", but the annual prices were not read. The page also says usage-based extras such as autoscaling and CDN overage, and add-ons such as Performance Shield, are charged on top at rates "listed in plan details".
Limits that change the choice
At the default selection all three tiers include 15 GB of storage and 2 TB of bandwidth, both shared across the plan. The tiers differ mainly in backups: Essentials keeps 7 days of daily backups, Pro 14 days and Elite 30 days.
Migration and staging
Every tier includes a self-serve migration tool. The page says specialists migrate sites on Elite, while the Pro card also lists migration by a human. All three cards list staging sites and visual comparison, but the pricing page calls these Pro and Elite features.
What the documentation leaves open
The page does not say whether the monthly prices are introductory or what they renew at, how restores work, or what autoscaling and CDN overage cost. Confirm in the Nexcess checkout whether Essentials includes staging, given the conflicting statements.
When to compare alternatives
Kinsta publishes its overage rates per 1,000 visits, per GB of bandwidth and per GB of disk, so you can price a busy month in advance. WP Engine Essential covers up to 30 sites with stated capacity tiers. DreamHost DreamPress shows introductory and renewal prices on every card.
Before you buy
Choose your site count and visit tier, then check the price for that exact combination and for annual billing. Decide how many days of backups you need, because that is the main difference between Essentials, Pro and Elite. Ask Nexcess for the autoscaling and CDN overage rates before going live.
